For the transmission of aficial information.to other agencies, the FB] has just uuplemented its new FBI Automated Messaguiz System (F AMS), wich is based onthe Defense Messaging System (OMS) and wi a Pro yide writer-to-reader secure s-miazl te both internal and extemal users. The FBT is the first civilian agency to operate the classifed DMS FPAMS will perinit on-lme message creation, review, and search capabilihes to everyone connected t¢ FAENET. FAMS gives the FBI the capabibty of sending aad receiving to any of the 40,000+ DMS and ALTTODIN addresses. A TS/SCI version of FAMS is currently being tested and wil] provide the same capability to everyoné on SCION or HISNET. Within he government, DMS will replace AUTODIN and a diverse array of e-mail systerns Currently in use throughout the Department of Defense and the USIC, In ite fina! form, DMS wil become the govermiment's global secure e-mail system, providing certified interoperability for over 2 million crvihan and miliary users and permuthine toulicmedia attachments to messages and provide end-to-end ascurity. The FBP is just begmming tc implement data mart programs as part of the Intelligence Community System for Information Sharing (ICS 18), and the first FBI TS/SCHIC Data Mart (ic 1M) ss currently m development. The FBI will apply new secinty technology to deploy a Protechon Level 3 Data Mart capability with discretionary access controls and Publio Rey infrasimuictare certificates mn support of closed Communities of Interest, which will permit secure sharing of our most sensitive data with trusted members of other agencies. Current FBI intelligence products (intelligence bulletins and raw TIRs) are being published on FRI web sites connected to SIPRNET and WICS The FBI does not yet publish metadata with these products, but we are in the proceas of meeting this requirerdent. The PBLis also working with DOJ on interfaces between ICSTS and the Law Enforcement Infonnahon Sharing inihatve, and with the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division to merease the shanng of mtelligence related unfommation with state and Joral officials. The FBI is also investigating the use of sscure one-way transfers to move information between secunty domains and te permit all-source Intelligence analysis, and the use of next-generation, communily High Assurance Guards is beme planned to elie fort he byo-way transfer on critieal mtelligence between secunty domains Secure wireless connectivity and Virtual Pnvate Networks are aiso beuig considered to io unprove access to intelligence by deployed personnel. The FBiis also starting to use on-line, desktop collaboration tools such as Info Work Spacs, whichis the foandation for the Intelhgence Community Collaboration Portal to increase intellygence collaboration. eal ah MISC.
