3.Policy Statement
The goal of each CIP response is to provide for the care and well-being of impacted FBI.
employees and their immediate family members in the aftermath of critical incidents and other
significant events, as needed. In addition, the CIP provides care for task force officers (TFO) and
others in the aftermath of critical incidents, as resources allow. Each traumatic event is unique
and will impact individuals differently. CIP responses must provide a range of clinically sound
