Post Office/Leisure World in Silver Spring, MD.):
D) [kp 20-25 Min. after shooting): A clerk at a nearby Exxon
gas station a short distance away, interacted with a black male of
possible African descent, over 6? tall, with dark hair, a goatee,
muscular and broad shouldered. This subject arrived in a white van
matching the description of one given out. The male asked for
directions to I-270/Germantown Road. This gas station sits at the
comer of Middle Brook Road and Rt. 355 in Germantown, MD. The
caller said the time span between the Leisure World shooting site
and this location is app. 20-25 minutes. There are normally cameras
in operation here, but they were not working on this date: The subject
appeared to be very anxious.
2) a 44 P.M): Source at Community Radiology at Leisure World
and viewed victim slump over, speaks of a white “bakery” truck
with possible name of ‘Oster’s’ on it? .
3) L }s:38 A.M); Witness viewed two (2) Hispanic males in their °
Mid-20’s. One wore a blue baseball cap. me
4) 10:30 A.M): Witness viewed a box truck at the scene.
ce 7157) 8:25 A.M); Source viewed subject’s Caprice in the
Leisure World lot prior to the shooting. It was allegedly parked at the
far end closer to Georgia Avenue. (10/30/02 Follow-up: saAL_]
a 7 Walking to her work building, she noticed a
dark colored Chevy Caprice in the NW corner lot by itself. All other
vehicles were in the south lot closer to the Giant store. The source
knew -itas a Caprice through car shows/motor vehicle knowledge. No
persons were seen inside/outside this motor vehiclé. Source pointed
out for investigators where the car was parked, specifically in the last
or second to last spot on the west side closest to International Drive. -
The source said the nose of the car faced Georgia Ave., while the
rear faced the shopping center. .
