Greyhound bus, MUHAMMAD and MALVO pot off the bus and spent the day in the bus station in
Washingtor D.C. MUHAMMAD stated he first visited Washington, D.C. in 1995 for the Million

The following day, MUHAMMAD and MALVO left Washington, D.C: by bus and traveled to
New York City, New York. MUHAMMAD stated.they were actually trying to go to Camden, New
Jersey but overslept and missed their bus stop in Camden, New Jersey. MUHAMMAD and MALVO
- stayed in New. York City approximately six hours before catching a bus to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
MUEIAMMAD and MALVO arrived in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania early in the morning. Since the
city buses were not available early in the morning, MUHAMMAD and MALVO took a taxicab to
en, New Jersey. MUHAMMAD and ed with a friend of MUHAMMAD'S named
MUHAMMAD stated he did not know ast name. MUHAMMAD and MALVO
Stayed in Camden, New Jersey approximately one and one- alf weeks.
MUHAMMAD and MALVO left Camden, New Jersey in the car MUHAMMAD bought in 5
New Jersey. MUHAMMAD and MALVO traveled to Louisiana to visit with MUHAMMAD'S son,
MUHAMMAD and MALVO traveled on Interstate 95 (I-95) South to
Washington, D.C. and then headed West. MUHAMMAD could not recall what highway or roads he
took after leaving I-95. MUHAMMAD stated the trip to Louisiana was challenging because _

MUHAMMAD and MALVO slept in MUHAMMAD'S car for two to three days before traveling to
Maryland in MUHAMMAD'S car. MUHAMMAD arid MALVO stopped to see the Super Dome in
New Orleans, Louisiana and then traveled through Mississippi to get to Maryland. MUHAMMAD
estimated it took him and MALVO 16 hours to travel to Maryland. MUHAMMAD and MALVO
slept in rest areas during their drive to Maryland. MUHAMMAD and MALVO stopped in
Washington, D.C. to sight see. MUHAMMAD stated he took photographs during their stay in
Washington, D.C. but lost the disposable camera.

ex-wife and three children. MUHAMMAD and MALVO stayed in rest areas and got food from
“food co-ops". MUHAMMAD stated he was a vegetarian and ate organically grown food.
MUHAMMAD stated he would look for schools in area using telephone bodks and the Intemet in
libraries. MUHAMMAD stated he was able to use the Internet in libraries without having a library
card because the library or. libraries he used allowed him thirty minutes of usage as a non-member of
the library. .

While staying at a rest area somewhere outside of Baltimore, Maryland; MUHAMMAD
stated MALVO found an AR-15. MUHAMMAD stated the AR-15 was found approximately 12
hours before he was taken into custody. MUHAMMAD stated MALVO approached him with the
AR-15 while he (MUHAMMAD) was in his car watching a DVD. MALVO approached telling
MUHAMMAD what he had found and asking what he should do while showing {AD the
AR-15. MUEBAMMAD recalled the AR-15 was inside ofa green cloth bag. MUHAMMAD
remarked that the bag was not a duffle bag. MUHAMMAD took the AR-15 out of the bag by
