ated the guns in the shooting. However, he related facts practically ~:
identical with those mentioned by Jack Clark in regard to having been “~~
approached by three men who sought to intimidate him and to keep him. .:..".

Both Clark and Bouse stated that they were approached
by these three men separately and within a period of not mre than
ten minutes efter the shooting had occurred on the morning of June 17,°- ~~
1933. Bouse stated that he was standing dehind the car of Agent Caf-
frey, not more than ten feet away from the car at the time he was ap-
proached, and that there was a large crowd of people around at that |
time. : ; .
Photographs by newapeper photographers, which were’: an
taken at the scene of the massacre, were secured recently, and there * «2.0 |
are found to be eight of such photographs in existence. Enlargements’ _—
were secured, in order to endeavor to pick out any faces which might“ --
be likenesses of those of the men tho sought to intimidate Clark and |
Bouee. However, the features of individuals are not shown in most
instances in these photographs except those of local officials. There © ~
are a few likenesses of other individuals, however, in the DHOtORT APRs

It is found that throughout this investigation, . :
the Police Department at Kansas City has reported at various times that ae
Wiili ‘eisman, a New York gangster and friend of Vernon C. Miller, ‘
participated in the shooting. The report has never been confirmed and -
the basis therefor has not been show by the Police Department; however,
Weisman bears a similar description to that of Jamea(Fur)Sanrmons. it is
found from investigation by the Chicago office, as mentioned in letter of
November 13, 1933, from Chicago office to Kansas City office, that accoming
to Maxine sueller, a prostitute, Weisman was staying at the President Hotel,
Kanses City, Missouri, the period arsund June 1953, and wes there associated
with one Ward. J. “gard, who stayed at the President Hotel, is well known «
