taken from Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Kansas City by trein.e She

because when it was mentioned that Frank Nash might be sick

call was made by re. Esther Farmer at the suggestion of Dick
Galatas. She paid that et thie time Miller wa informed that
the officers were taking Nash to Kansas City from Fert Smith
by trein. Mra. Hash said that she did not know at this time
where Miller lived in Kansas City, but that Mrs. Esther Farmer
had told her in either Hot Springs in April 1935, or when she
arrived at her home the afternoon of June 16th, that Miller ené
Vi were living in Kansas City, Missourie
Mra, Nash atated that she learned during the morning of June 17th
from the Farmere for the firet time that the man she had married
waa Frenk Haebs
She stated that Esther Farmer told her during the afternoon of
June 17th, after the news flashes had been received by radio,
of the shooting at the Union Station in Eansas City, that Verne
Miller had called her, Esther Farmer, by telephone, and that —
Esther Farmer told her that Verne asked her where kre» Nesh ia
and said that she should be told to go home immediately.
Kras Nesh etated that all the acquaintances and intimates of
Frank Nash and Verne Miller she met appeared to have respect
and admiration for Vernon Miller, and that she gained the im
preasion he was looked upon es a boss or leader and thet he had
@ great influence over Frank Nesh. She aloo said that on occa~
sions, to her own knowledge, Vernon Miller hed supplied Frenk
Beah with moneys
