he was informed that “Dutch” Akers hed been calling for him, and he aocord=
ingly placed a cell to Akers. He is of the opinion that he called skers
at Police Headquarters at Hot Springs, but is not positive in this rezard.
Ee telked to Akers, whose voice he knows, and informed him that the party had
properly identified themselves and had been allowed to proceed. Akers asked
the deatination and be told him "Joplin, Missouri*,
Inquiry was made at Little Rock at the four benks now open for
business for the purzose of locating en account or safe deposit box of
Galates. Fo active account or present safe deposit boz wma found, but it
wes determined at the Union Trust Company that sefe deposit boxes bad formerly
been rented to Galeates. Their records show that Boz £226 wae renteé to
Kr, and Mre, Richard Galetas on November id, 1930, the record ehowlng the
following addresses:
Maurice Hotel, Hot Springs, Arkansas,
211 Church Street, Montgomery, Alabama,
lafayette Rotel, Little Rock, Arkansss.
Galatas’ description on the records is shown as
“Eeight 5' 10"; weigcht 160 lbs.; iron grey
hair; mother's maiden name Ide Bae Kounce.®

It wae further determined through interview with Mr. Nixon, at
the Union Trust Company that another box wae rented by Galetas under the
neme of Mr, and Bre. Te Ry {Satelag, thie box being number 1714, and having
been rented October 19, 9, 19 1, for a period of one year. The address given
waa Albert Pike Hotel, Little Rock, Mr. Nixon advised thet he determined
AF that the person renting under the rane of Geletas and Satalag were identical,
and questioned Galatas in thie regard, at which time Gelatas advised thet
the nane “*“Satealag® was his nese with the epelling reversed.
Ly, Nixon stated thet he recalled that one of the boxes rented by
Galetas was a large size box, and that it conteined a black tin box.
_ It de noted thet in renting the second box the description of
Geletes is identical with the exception that his woicht ia given as 170
pounds; end that the description of Mra. Galetas shows her height @
5* 12" at the time of the rental of the second box. The same tnfomation
as to mothers’ maiden names wae given.
It is noted that the address of the Kansas City Office was left
