This morning about 10 alv., Pred C. Kohut, resifence

informed me that Mr. Homer C, Howell, 710 East 10+1/2 Street, re

In compliance with the Director's telegram, which you
relayed to me by telephone, I ascertained thru the United Fruit = —
Company in Galveston by telephone where I might locate R. J. Harrell, -...
and telephoned him, advising him I would call and see him in Galves- ae
ton. I immediately proceaded to Galveston and located him at 409 =. |.-
List Street, and be was interviewed at the Federal Building and made
‘the attached affidavit, which is self-explanatory. He stated he pet
told Mr. Howell the story about the gun simply to excite Mr. Howell's ;
curiosity and told him to get his furtile brain to working end figure.
