; Mr. KILBY has amassed quite a large quantity of corres-
pondence, leaflets, printed matter and such which the school has dis-
tributed and has cbtained numerzus affidavits from persons wh: have been in
the schecl as students and from natives whe have had seme ccnnection with
the schcol. These signed affidavits are being set cut as Exhibits Nes. 3
through 20. Jt will be neted that in almest every instance these affi-
davits mention the Communist flag being displayed on the platform cf the
schocl, teachings of 4 definite Comminist nature, and attempts on the
part :f several of those connected with the schcol te get others to join
the Young Communist Lengue. Where the Yeung Communist League is menticned
o. these affidavits, the persons identifying the card were shown @
peune Communist League Membership Card which has been phctographed and
s being included with this repert to the Bureau 2s Exhibit Ne. 2h. It
wos nct pessible te determine the origin cf this card and the names on it
arc not knewn in Grundy Ccunty. This card is presently in Id. KILBY'S
possession,

details of the article written by JOHN McDOUGAL BURNS, repcrter for the
Nashville, Tennessean, during his attendance in the school in 1939, Ccpies
-f these newspaper articles have previously been furnished ts the Bureau
and are not being set cut again.
