HEARNAP
On April 15, 1974, Donald David DeFreeze, Nancy Lins
Perry, Camilla Christine Hall, Patricia Michelle Soltysik, end
Patricia Campbell Hearst held up the Sunset Office of the
Hibernia Bank in Gan Francisco obtaining $10,692.51. During
‘the robbery, they fired automatic weapons wounding a number of
people in and about the bank. They escaped in rental cars. ~.
During the robbery, they apparently had a cover car occupied by
four individuals with rifles waiting across the street.

Investigation at San Francisco revcals that the
subjects remained in San Francisco following the kidnaping until
approximately May 9, or in the early morning of May 10, 1974,
when they devarted for Los Angeles.
On May 16, 1974, William and Emily Harris, while
shopping in Mel's Sporting Goods Store in Los Angeles, bes uve
involved in a scuffle following a shoplifting by William Harris.
-As the scuffle moved to the street an@ a revolver wes displayed,
an individual believed to be Patricia Hearst fired approximately
27 rounds from an automatic weavon from a van parked across the
Street from the sporting goods store. The three escaped in the
van and subsequentiy kidnaped at leest two individuals ane
ultimately disappeared on the afternoon of May 17, 1974, on the
fringe of the Griffith Park area in Los Angeles after releasing
their last hostace.
On the evening of May 17, 1974, Nancy Lino Perry,
Camilla Christine Hall, Patricia Michelle Soltysik, Angela Atwocd,
Donald David DeFreeze and William Lawton Wolfe became involved
in a shoot-out with the Los Angeles Police Department and ths
FBI at 1466 East 54th Street, Los Angeles, and all the above
individuals perished.
The Harrises and Hearst were believed to have brea
in Los Angeles on May 19, 1974. Their whereabouts since that
date is unknown; however, another tape containing their voices
was received by a Los Angeles radio station on June 7, 1974. —

, With one exception, the SLA hardcore was composed of
college educated Caucasians from the East Bay area of San Francisc
who lived in a frugal style holding down menial jobs. The
group was active in prison reform and directed the majority of
their contacts with black inmates.
