This memorandum sets forth current status of recent
investigation being coordinated by the Los Angeles Office (LAO)
and the San Francisco Office (SPO) in this case.
: ; GRAND JURY MATTERS:
U. S. Attorney (USA) Robert L. Brosio, LA, advised :
he will appeal the stay granted by Associate Justice William O.
Douglas to William Lewis, manager of KPFK Radio Station, LA.
Lewis is the individual who refuses to turn over a Symbionese
Liberation Army (SLA) tape, container and letter he obtained
-- 6/7/74.
Black Muslims Retimah X, Jamellia Muntaz and
Roland: Tate appeared before a Federal Grand Jury at SF on
'g/22/74, and refused to answer questions relating to possible (
* . harboring violations in this matter; they cited their rights
under the Fifth Amendment. USA James Browning, SF, has advised
the future course of legal action against these individuais has
not been determined. ;
