BOMBING OF PHIL SMART MERCEDES-BENZ 10515 MAIN STREET BELLEVUE, WASHINGTON NOVEMBER 1, 1977 UNSUB; ATTEMPTED BOMBING OF DIEBOLD COMPANY 1520 FOURTH SOUTH SEATTLE, WASHINGTON NOVEMBER 2, 1977 Character: BANK ROBBERY EXPLOSIVES AND INCENDIARY DEVICES <> d Synopsis: _Information from mt b1 prompte ot FBI fisur resulting in apprehension of RITA DARLENE BROWN by FBI at Seattle on 11/4/77. BROWN refused to admit identity or be interviewed and was identified through fingerprints. In her possession was Oregon driver's license in name KATHERINE EMILY WILSON and additional items resulting in search warrant for residence 13746 Roosevelt Way North, Seattle, where investigation indicates SHERMAN, BROWN, COUPEZ and possibly others had been staying. This search and other investigation located storage locker, meat locker and vehicle in Seattle area for which search warrants obtained and executed. Subjects SHERMAN, COUPEZ and possibly others apparently fled residence based on radio log and note left at residence indicating vehicle driven by BROWN impounded by King County; that BROWN possibly picked up and that person finding note should leave for out of town location.. BROWN appeared before U.S. Magistrate, Seattle, 11/4/77, and remanded custody U.S. Marshal in lieu of $100,000 bail. On 11/14/77, U.S. Magistrate ordered BROWN removed to Oregon in connection with Federal Bank Robbery. charges. DANGEROUS.
