On 3/28/78, a nine count Federal Grand Jury (FGJ) Indictment was obtained in the Western District of Washington, Seattle, Washington, against the three subjects, charging them with Conspiracy, Armed Bank Robbery, Bombing Matters, and Posses- sion of an Illegal Bomb Device. On 6/8/78, BERTRAM pled guilty to two counts of the Indictment. A trial for SHERMAN ‘and COUPEZ took place in U. 8S. District Court, Seattle, Wash- ington, from 6/21/78 through 7/11/78 and both were found guilty of eight counts of the Indictment, while one count was dismissed. SHERMAN and COUPEZ were sentenced on 8/2/78 and BERTRAN was sentenced on 8/7/78. A copy of the FGJ Indictment and a copy of Judgment and Commitment for the subjects is attached to this report. ‘ ~C-
