-12- Teleased from the Texas Stete Penitentiary on March 25, 1933, they returned to Dallas, Texas, and remined for nearly a week, when they drove to Joplin, Missouri, about April 1, 1953, in a Marmon 68 purchased by them from Carl Beatty, of Dallas, Texas, Upon arrival at Joplin, Missouri, they met Clyde Barrow, and his wife, Bonnie Parker, and Jack Sherman. Blanche would not definitely state that Glyde and Bonnie were Married.’ She know nothing about Jack Sherman. However, it was learned later that she had identified the picture of Hubert Bleigh as being the same as Jack Shermn. She atated in regards to the shooting on Aprib 15, 1933, when two officers were killed at Joplin, Missouri, that Bonnie Farker was upstairs in the front of the house; that she and Marvin were upstairs in the back of the house, and Jack Sherman and Clyde were down stairs, Suddenly there was some shooting, and Clyde yolled to them to come on down that they had to get out of there, They got in Clyde's Ford V-8 Seden, and drove to Dallas, Texas, where the boys visited their mother. They. left shortly afterwards and had been on the road every since, From here on Blanche refused to make any definite statement as to where they were.e Hegarding the guns, she stated that the boys left her and Bonnie near @me unknown town in contral Kansas and drove away, end were gone all night. The next day they returned and had the car filled with gunse The boys never told them where they got the guns. In questioning her further Agent had hor confused and she ad- mitted that about two weeks ago they were in (klahoma as they had stopped at e Tourist Camp north of Ft. Smith, Arkansas; that there were six of them in the party, the additional member being Jnck Sherman's girl, known to her only as "Bobby"» A day or so later they dropped this girl st a ranch 30 miles northeast of Durant, Oklehom, At the time they had two Ford VeS cars. Fran Oklahoma they © Grove into Keusas and Missouri, She denied being in Omaha, Nebraska, or near there on July 13, 1955, or in or near Sioux City, Iora on July 15, 1955, or near Sutherland, lowa, on Sunday July 16, 1©5, She further denied being near Fte Dodge, Iown, on the morning of July 18, 1935 when three filling stations were held upe She further denied being near Yale, iowa, on July 18, 1935, here several mail bowes were robbed, but she did admit driving into the tourist ! camp south of Platte City, Missouri on the evening of July 18, 1955. She claimed not to know who did the shooting at this place, She admitted thet they were near Mt, Ayr, Iowa, end burned some clothing; that they drove to Dexter, Towa, and were there several days, She admitted that on the very morning that their Cam was raided she and Marvin had planned to seperate from Clyde and his out- fit. She would not admit that one of them stole a Ford V8 at Perry, Iowa, on Sunday, July 25, 1933, for just that purpose. Blanche was turned over to De Ry Cleavinger, County Attorney, Platte City, Missouri, who with several other officers returned her to Platte — City, Missouri, where she is to be arraigned August 5, 1955 on charges of attempt to murder one of the officers who was wounded in the fracas near there.
