They continued driving on the rim for another mile south util they arrived at the George Allbright farm, Mae and Mrs. Allbright wore interviowed and Mrs, Allbright stated she was working around her yard about 9:00 o'clock on tho morning of July 24th, © when she suddenly noticed someone trying to start their car. She ran over to ‘. seo who it was and this mm, whom she identifies as Clyde Barrow, pointed a gun at her, and told her to come over and show him how to start the car. How- ever, she turned and ren ncreaming torards Ker house and hid behind the stone step abutment. Her husband came running from the farm yard, but she warned him to go back as the man hed a gun. Clyde succeeded in getting the car started, am turned out of the yari headed south, and stopped a short distance down the road where an unknown number of persons got out of the wrecked car inte the 4llbright cer and sped on south. Mrs. Allbright stated that about the time Glyde came into the yard she noticed another car drive up and etop in front of hor house, and after Clyde stole their car this other car drove off. Subjects Were not seen to co through Polk City, Iows, which is five miles south of the Allbright farm, It might be stated here relative to the conditions of the flee- ing subjects, The girl, Bonnie Parker, according to Clyde's om statement, is shot in the right leg or knee and in the stomech. This Agent found at the camp of subjects’ a light blue nightgown, containing several holes in it about kmee high, It was badly bloodsteined over most of the lower part. The officers at Platte City, Mo, reported that one of the girls was seen to flee in her nightgown when Subjects made their escape there. According to the Fellers, the man who first approached them with the gun, and whom they identified as Clyde Barrow, carried his gun in hig right hand, hia left erm bung at his side and he did no motioning with it, While hia clothes were wringing wet from perspiration end from the heavy dew and he had cansiderable blood on him, the bloodiest spot appeared to be on his left shoulder, between his breast and armpit, He also had a flesh wound on the left cheek. While it bled freely it did not eppear to be deep. He was seen to use both arms when he drove away in the cars The second man, believed to be Hubert Bleigh, while he had considerable blood on both his back and front did not appear to be wounded, = He apparently became covered with blood in carrying Honnie Parker. It etands to reason that he could not have been hurt very badly if he was able to drag and carry Bonnie Parker for nearly a mile and half from the wooded area where the fight took place, through heavy underbrush, across a fair size river, up and down hill, and finslly through » cornfield to the automobile which was
