AT 7A-1835 PH 7A-1700 [uw considered standard throughout the carpeting industry. In meAALTLIiAng addition Magee Carpet Company utilized, in approximately 50% of its later years of carpet production, Polyback secondary backing in its carpet manufacturing. , stated that while in the carpet manufacturing C70 business Magee Carpet Company purchased considerable amounts of their yarn from both Integrated Products, Rome, Georgia, and Modern Fibers, of Calhoun, Georgia. Magee Carpet Company would then normally dye the fiber yarn to their own manufacturing specifications. Examination of carpet samples manufactured by Magee Carpet Company with comparison of carpet sample obtained from Williams' carpet was determined not to be identical in color varjation, pile height, finish weight and other specifications. ows advised that carpeting manufacturing has fice diversified to the point that formerly manufacturing of carpeting and all processes which included the dying of the yarn, weaving and primary and secondary backing was done by the carpet manufacturer. He stated that today, other than the larger carpet manufacturers that these stages of production are subcontracted to various small companies who specialize in one stage of manufacturing. after examination of Williams' sample carpet, fo bs stated that he felt that the sample carpet in question was of a ae relatively new manufacturing date. His feeling being that the jute backing had not had the opportunity to discolor with age, which is a normal occurrence.
