1O DOWNING STREET
From the Private Secretary
.
21 April 1977
Thank you for your letter of 20 April In which you conveyed
the Home Secretary's view on the Prime Minister's suggestion that
President Amin's children might be returned to Uganda.
The Prime Minister has noted the Home Secretary's views on
this matter, and has asked that he should be informed of any
future movement of President Amin's family in this country. As
I told you on 18 April, he has particularly asked that a careful
watch should be kept for any signs that President Amin himself
might pay an unexpected private visit to London.
I am sending a copy of this letter to Ewen Fergusson (Foreign
and Commonwealth Office) and to Martin Vile (Cabinet Office).
