Reference:
Mr. HERMAN SCHNUReR, Professor, Antioch College, stated
that he knew applicant, his brother and wife very weil as students under
him at this college. He further gave substantially the sane informtion
as Mr. PILLARD.
Criminal:
Mr. RUSSELL BRADLEY, Chief of Police, Yellow Springs
Police Department, advised that ne has no record of applicant, his wife
or brother.
There is no credit bureau at Yellow Springs.
The following investigation was conducted by SA JohN H.
CLIFFORD:
AT SPRINGFIELD, OHIO
Enplovment:
PAUL MILLER, Manager of Radio Station WJEL, advised that
this station had changed hands in the fall of l950 and that records prior
to that time were incomplete. However, he did .ocate a record which
showed that the applicant was employed there frm October 27, l947 for a
ten week period. MILleR stated that, from the aumount of pay received by
the applicant, it was a part time employment. MILlER said that none of the
present employees had been employed prior to the: fall of 1950. He stated
that Dr. D. J. PARSONS, Springfield, Ohio, and FRANK JONES, Salesman for
Station wBNs-Tv, Columbus, Ohio, forner station owrters, probably would re-
call the applicant.
It is noted here that the records at Station WJel con-
tained only the date of the first pay and the number of weeks thereafter
for which the applicant worked. There was no other information in the
records.
Dr. D. J. PARsoNs, l645 Woodrow Drive, former major stock-
holder in Radio Station WJEl, advised that he recalled the applicant worked
part time at the station as an arnouncer, and while he was still a student
at Antioch College, he wrote and produced plays on Sunday afternoons on
