Representative Culver was born on August 8, 1932,in
Rochester, Minnesota. Mhen not attending college or serving
in the Armed Forces, he has been residing in Cedar Rapids,
Iowa, since infancy. He attended the Undergraduate School of
Harvard Uniyersity, Cambridge, Iassachusetts, receiving an
REC- 26
He played footballrat Harvare-tniversity and was
considered an all-time football great there. He holds the modern
scoring record at Harvard and was named to the All-American
Academic Team. He was a National Football League draft choice
Representative Culver's graduation from Harvard University in
1954 he was awarded the Lionel de Jersey Harvard Scholarship
and he studied at Cambridge University, Cambridge, England.
Culver served in the United States Marine Corps. He reached
the rank of first lieutenant and he is now serving in an inactive.
