2.Roles and Responsibilities

Assistant Director (AD)/Human Resources Officer (HRO), Human Resourees
Division (HRD)
The AD of HRD. as the HRO, is responsible for the overall administration of the FBI Awards
Program. In this regard, the AD/HRO (or designee) must.
Ensure that the award processes are promulgated, properly administered, and applied
Waive any requirements set forth in this PG based on the needs of the FBi, when
permitted by law.
Provide oversight of the FBI Awards Program to ensure compliance with this PG and
any applicable laws..

Federal Bureau of Investigation Headquarters (FBihQ) Division and Field Office

Hnsure that employees under their purview are fully considered for award recognition, as
appropriate, in a timely manner.
Review and make determinations on all award recommendations within their areas of
responsibility (AOR) to ensure that the awards are justified and the performances meet.

The supervisor or award nominator must:.
Confirm that award criteria and eligibility requirements are net for the proposed award
Complete the FD-255..Reconmendation for Award. or corresponding award
nomination form.
Submit the award nomination to the FBilQ division or FO awards point of contact
(POC) by the established deadline.
Ensure that all award documentation is complete and accurate
