A.Processes and Procedures
4.1.
Award Procedures
FBI enployees are eligible to receive from the FBl, the Department of Justice (DOJ), and other
federal agencies monetary and nonmonetary incentive awards and honorary awards in
recognition of their outstanding performances and special acts. FBl employees are also eligible
to receive nonmonetary awards fron nongovernment organizations. Incentive awards include all
those listed in subsections 4.?. and 4.3.6. of this PG. Honorary awards include those listed in
subsections 4.3.L. through 4.3.5. of this PG. Nominations for all awards are processed through.

An employee must not receive multiple monetary awards, or a combination of monetary awards
and Time-Off Awards (TOA), for the same accomplishment. However, receipt of a monetary
award or a TOA does not preclude an employee from receiving an honorary award for the same.

Name Checks, Indices Checks,and Nomination Process
Every FBI employee nominated for an incentive award undergoes an administrative Ottice ot
Protessional Responsibility (OpR) check. Any employee who is found to be the named subject
of any OpR action-open, pending,or closed investigation or complaint-during the past three
years will be subject to a name check
All honorary award nominees undergo a name check, which gueries employee records retained

Any name check that returns findings on the nominated employee will be submitted to the AD.
