The speech, which was being sponsored by Hillel, Jewish Student Association, and the Department of Sociology, Asu, was open to the public. On March 14, l972, this source further advised that Rabbi Meir Kahane was to arrive in Phoenix, Arizona, at 7:09 p.m. on March 15, l972, by airplane (airline unknown) He was to be met by a representative of Hillel. The,overall arrangements for the speech were being made by. Program Chairman.for. Hillel. Rabbi Kahane was being paid. $50o for this appearance which funds are being paid by Hillel. This source stated that there were indications that the Organization of Arab Students at ASu and the Young Socialist Alliance at Asu were planning to picket the speech by Rabbi Kahane.. As the youth organization of the Socialist Workers Party (Swp), the Young Socialist Alliance (ysA) serves as the main source of recruitment into that organization.
