Captioned matter of investigation is being closed in
the Milwaukee Division.
DErails: For information of the Bureau, investigation of
captioned matter was instituted on 2/27/91 as part of a joint
investigation between the Milwaukee Division of the FBI,
Milwaukee County Metro Drug Unit, State of Wisconsin Division of
Department Gang Squad. The purpose of this investigation was to
infiltrate the Latin Kings Street Gang (LKs), which consisted of
approximately 200 members, and prosecute the leaders and members
who were responsible for auto thefts, numerous house burglaries,
fencing stolen property, and a narcotics trafficking operation in
Southeastern Wisconsin. The Latin Kings had also threatened to
kill members of the Milwaukee, Wisconsin Police Department.
