Source stated that selected members or the Afro Set were members of this patrol and used a black Econo-line type van to patrol the ghetto areas. Source stated that businesses were solicited for their participation in thls endeavor and for a fee, usually $25.00, a sticker was placed in the window. indicating that any'criminal who might intend to victimize this particular business would have to deal with the LAfro. On April 27, 1970, HARLLEL B. JONES adv1sed a Special Agent of the Federal Bureau of Investigation that to protect inner city merchants and residents from crine. He stated that he had obtained a truck for the purpose of protecting the community. He stated that he had already begun. patrolling the inner city and stated that he was policing the. Rainbow Terrace Extension Apartments on Kinsman Road, Cleveland, Ohio.
