JONES had received a grant of $ao,ooo.co from money furnished the City of Cleveland by the'Council of Churches and Cleveland Now, a quasi Municipal Foundation financed by private interest. Source stated that the grant would be given to JoNEs but that for public records the records would reflect the money had been given to the Black Economic Union. JIMBFOWN ,Cv T-2 advised that the Black Econpmic Vkown, former cleveland Browns. football team player, to assist Negroes in the purchasing and running ot the businesses. Source advised that the $20,000.00 was to be used. to help stop drug abuse in the Hough area of Cleveland, Ohio.
