"D-302 (REV. 3-10-82) i . , _ . -~l1- FEDERAL BUREAU OF INVESTIGATION 1/2/91 Date of transcription THOMAS D., CARR, date of birth (dob) February 12, 1913, was contacted at the Pittsburgh Office of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). He was advised of the identity of the interviewing Agent and the nature of the interview. CARR then furnished the following information: + : CARR was born in Columbus, Ohio. His. family moved to Reading, PA, where he attended grade school, and then to Spokane, Washington, where he attended high school. CARR moved back to Ohio and lived in Toledo and Findlay before: moving to Pittsburgh in 1937. CARR was hired in 1936 as a Civil Service employee. for the Railroad Mail Service. When he moved to Pittsburgh, he © worked at the railroad terminal located in the Post Office Building in downtown Pittsburgh. He worked there until retirement in 1975. CARR first heard his daughter, JANLA CARR, speak of TED BUNDY subsequent to BUNDY’S death several years ago. He recalls JANLA saying she had called someone in Washington about TED BUNDY. CARR tried ,to discourage JANLA from contacting the authorities concerning BUNDY, but was unsuccessful. He noted that JANLA had spent a great deal of time and effort researching BUNDY and has read all the books and articles about BUNDY she could obtain. JANLA conducted her research with the aid of computers at the Carnegie Mellon University Library and the University of Pittsburgh Library. JANLA raised the topic of TED BUNDY several years ago when she told CARR that when she was in college, BUNDY had come looking for her because she had incriminating information concerning him. JANLA told him other stories concerning BUNDY and CARR is aware that she attempted to find information that would corroborate her stories. CARR denied that he is the father of TED BUNDY. He does not know anyone by the name of LOUISE BUNDY. He does not know why JANLA thinks he is TED BUNDY’s father.
