today was for the benefit of the
press.” He said Utah should not
“give publicity to some politician
in Colorado.”
He also told the judge that
* ‘extradition proceedings do not
depend on the fugitive complaint
which was’ filed last Friday by
Deputy Salt Lake County Atty.
David E. Yocom. He said Bundy
was obviously not going any-
where.
Yocom said the fugitive pro-
ceeding was a standard court
action in cases of defendants who
have fled from, or are in a
different state than, the one in
which they are charged with a

limit on Colorado for bringing the
charges against Bundy.
O’Connell was also critical of
the Colorado’ authorities. for hav-

will be sent ‘to Goy. Calvin L.
Rampton.
The prisoner, wearing blue
prison garb and with about a
week’s growth of beard, rose once
.while Yocom was speaking, say-
ing, “I don’t need your help.”
The court session lasted about’
15 minutes. Before it started both
Bundy and his attorney turned -
from the front of the courtroom to
survey the spectators. The room
was crowded with spectators and
newsmen.
Morris. denied the motion to
dismiss the fugitive complaint,
but set another hearing for Nov. 26
at 9:30 a.m., which will be the end -
