It held that a state does not deny the freedom of speech guaranteed by the Constitution by punishing utterances advocating the overthrow of erganized government by force, violence and unlawful means. United States ex rel Vajteuer vw. Com'r (1927) 273 U.S. 103 Vajtaner was arrested in deportation proceedings on the charge that he had illegally entered the United States because prior te er at the time of his entry he believed in and advecated the overthrew ef the United States government and had written seditious pamphlets.
