The industrial life or the Nation depends upon the steady, plentiful, unfaltering supply of soft coal, The characteristics of our | econowy wake it caspletely vulneranle to a stoppa-s in coal procuction In a normal wee!: some tvelve and one-half million tons ere produced by seme 400,000 soft coal miners. The court below found that aonroxinately 43% of all energy produced in the United States cass from bitwiinous coal.
