On March 31, 1942, a codicil to the above mentioned
will was prepared, revoking the appointment of D. WILLIAM
LEIDER | a8 successor executor and trustee and naming in his
place "my, friend Stanley D, Levison." This codicil was
witnessed by ROY BENNETT, 1065 a PLARy- BENNETT, DORIS M.

The Surrogates Court records (files No. 2050/199
and P801/1951) reflect the following information:
JOSEPH F. LOEWI died on June 4, 1949. LOEWI's
will and the codicil of March 31, 192, were admitted to
probate on May 15, 1951. Between June 29, 1949 and May 15,
1951, the estate was administered by ALICE LOEWI as
administratrix; between May 15, 1951 and February 15,
1954, by LEVISON and ALICE LOEWI as executors, Letters of
3B sea, were issued to LEVISON and ALICE LOEWI on December
28, 1952.
A petition filed by ALICE R. LCEWI on December 1i,
1951, pointed out that of those named in the will, ANDREW W.
LOE WI and D. WILLIAM LEIDER had died; CHARLES M. NEWMAN,
JOHN MURRAY and JAY RICHARD KENNEDY had filed renunciation
of their right to be appointed, leaving only ALICE R.
LOEWI and STANLEY D. LEVISON willing and able to qualify .
as trustees, Her petition stated that the net estate of
