Abernathy, who succeeded King as head of the SCIC, Ss This coverage has furnished vital information ar communist influences at work within the SCLC.@)0n 5/2/69, it ‘& furnished data regarding a contact between Andrew Young, Executive f Vice President of SCLC, and Levison in which they discussed the sending of a team to Columbia, South Carolina, to organize against the scheduled visit to that city on 5/3/69 of President ' Nixon. Negroes in Charleston, South Carolina, have been " demonstrating in an effort to form a hospital workers’ union.
