He noted that, when Abernathy sent word from
jail that Young was to take over his job and Eskridge Young's
job, he immediately contacted Marion Wright (who had been
a@ consultant to the SCLC's Poor Peoples Campaign) and had
her prepare a training and activity schedule on what was
to happen the following week. He added that when Abernathy
is released from jail they are going to form a strategy
committee and, at the SCLC meeting on July 5, 1968, they
are going to have to out-think any effort to take the SCLC
-over at its convention in August, 1968. Eskridge mentioned
that the "Atlanta Constitution", an Atlanta, Georgia
newspaper said that Coretta was going to seek the presidency
of the organization.

probably state that she is not seeking it. He said he did
—not believe she will say that she will lend her support to
Abernathy.
