LEVISON suggested that KING's position should be that he did notwant to be included as a potentiel candidate because his candidates are those who oppose the Vietnam war and who support the principles of the Presidential Commission on Civil Disorders. LEVISON said the only two candidates who reflect these views were Senators KENNEDY and MC CARTHY. LEVISON paid, if KING was a candidate, it could split the college poll and result in President JOHNSON being the winner. They agreed that whate w the only possibility of stopping JOHNSON would be with KENNEDY.
