He later complained at home about the other
bus boys being anti-social. To support this complaint,
he made up the story of having heard the boy say he
had sent 50 letters to Senator Kennedy and the
assumption they were of a threatening nature, which
he told his father. His father insisted that he
call the FBI, which he did.
He said he wanted to retract his telephone
conversation and apologized for having caused trouble.
He advised he now realized the serious nature of his
falsehood but had not considered the possible consequences.
He said he had admitted this to his father. He said
he has not worked at Evans Farm Inn since February 9, 1969.
