Uniformly these officials were all most commenda- tory of the Bureau's work and were apparentiy well acquainted with the FBI SAC in their home territory. Of particular interest was the conference held on the |i evening of 6/25/62 at Chicago. It seems as though the USA there has learned something from previous conferences with the AG, in that be now has a tendency to talk in a more positive tone and to cry less about his difficulties. It is still obvious, however, that he has no real control over his office and there is dissensipa\ subetween Assistant USAs in Chicago.
