The support and cooperaoe tion of the tmcrican Labor Movement for the Civil Rights Progrom of the NCP is extremely important and in certnin situations porhrps even dccisive. We urge our bronches and state conferences whenever possible to seck the support of responsible trade unions for mcensuros that we fevor and in turn give our support to such mersures supported by orgsnizod labor as arc consistent with oug policy and program," The program on Forcign Policy adopted by the convention also showed »n ndvence, While still wonk in several respects, it rceprescnts an importent departure from thrt of the 3rd Convention, In contrast to the almost 100% endorscment of tho Truman Foreign Policy a yoor ngo, this convention refused to give such blanket support to the Dullcs-Eisenhowor conduct of foreign affairs, The With Convention urged the planning and exccution of a Civil Rirhts mobilizeation in Washington, D.C., end voted to wolcome “in the mobilization, the cooperation end support of bona fide org nizations genuincly ot one with us on our stated objective", Tho Rp Saran ose Te
