Stated Aims and Objectives
A review of the Certificate of Incorporation
at the Hall of Kecords, New York County, Clerk's vfifice,
on may 11, 1954, revealed that the NAACP filed its
Sertificatse for Incorporation under the New York State
nuemburship Jorporation Laws on June 19, 1911.
The principal objects for which the Corporation
was formed are?
To promote equality of rights and cradicate
caste- or race prejudice among the citizens of thea United
States.
To advance the intcrest of colored citizens.
To sccure for thcm impartial sufferage.
To inercusc thoir opportunities for securing
justice in the courts, education for their chilcren,
