Om April 4th 1968, Rev. Martin Luther King jr., wae shot . d kitled:in,
Henphis Tennessee; in May 1968 the plaintiff was indicted by the Shelby
‘ goanty apand jury (cr. indictaent no. 16645) for said shooting; on March
/ §Oth 1969-plaintifs, allegedly through coercion by his attorney, Fercy
* Foreman & the prosecution, entered a guilty plea to anid er. incictaent; on
February 2nd 1974 the 0.5. Gh cireuit court of appeals ordered an evident-
dary hearing into the circusstances of said plea, Ray ¥. Rose 491 F2d 285
ke.a.6, 1974; om February 27th 1975 after hearing said evidentiary proceedings
_ the U.S. District court for the 7.D. of Tennessee, Hon. Robert M. McRae, pre-
siding ruled against Plaintiff, Ray v. Rose, C-74-166; om May 10th 1976 the
_U.S. 6th circuit court of appeals upheld Judge McRae's ruling in said evi-
