husband, RUDOLPH SIEBER, had attempted to accompany her but had been barred

Miss DIETHICH was informed by Special Agent that such
could not be the case, inasmuch as the Federal Bureau of Investigation
did not grant or withhold citisenship and that this function was the sole
responsibility of the Imnigration and Naturalization Service, Mise DIETRICH
expressed disappointment, stating that she did not know where te turn for
help or advice; that her husband's status was causing both him and her a :
great deal of concern and that she was of the frame of mind to call on te
President ROOSEVELT in an effort to obtain the true facts regarding the delay. &
