The "Daily Worker" of April 22, 1947, described
MAX YERGAN as Executive Director of the Council on
African Affairs.
Information concerning the Council on African
Affairs has been set out above.
The "Daily Worker" is a former East Coast
Communist dally newspaper which suspended publication
on January 13, 1958.

of the American Committee for Spanish Freedom. On the
rear of this letterhead stationery appears a
list of sponsors of the organization and this list contains
the name "Marian Anderson" not further identified.
The American Committee for Spanish Freedom
has been designated by the Attorney General of the
United States pursuant to Executive Order 10450.
