ae Mo, whites cannot join us. Every time whites have -
l participated in a black orgamisatios, it hes been a fiasco. The
whites always finished by controlling the black organizations ia
ot which they participated. If the whites wast te aid us finascially,
we shall accept their aid, but we shall sever let then participate
im our organisation.
R.
Then, you want an entirely black orientation?
Malcolm X.
Exactly, a black orientation.
a.
Do you intend to collaborate with the organizations
for civil rights?
Malcols X.
We shall collaborate with these organizations t
out the land and for the objectives which are not in contradictios
with our political ard economic ideas; in other words, black
- mationslisa. I must state here that I have been invited to attend
a meeting for civil rights in which several of these organizations
assisted. This was in Chester and Gloria Richardsor, Landrey, —
the leader of the Ghicaze school heycett was there in Pennerlvanisa
and also Dick Gregory and many others; also the Rochedale
Movement, Is ay epeech I told them that they should expand the
movement for civil rights aad initiate a movement for the rights
of man and to internationalize it. Since the movement for civil
rights and all] these organizations remain vithin the limits of the
internal United States policy,:: sone of the independent nations
of Africa bas any say in the problem. But if this movement
becomes a genuine movement for the rights of men ia ganeral,
then these nations could carry the case of the American blacks
to the United Mationg, exactly as in the case of Angola or
South Africa, If the movemrat for civil rights were enlarged
in thie perspective, our brothers ia Africa, Asia, and Latia
America could preseat the black problem on the order of the day
of the General Assenbly of the United Nations without that— =.
Uncle Sam could fiad therein ‘anything to criticize. Further-
more, outside of the United Nations, we have also the aid of
eight hundred million Chinese who are ready to fight saad die for
the righta af hnumanitd.
