NATION OF ISLAM
Officials of the MOI have stated that Malcolm Lattie
was working on some of the new members in Boston and Springfield,
Massachusetts, and in New York City; that Malcolm Little has a
sister in Boston who was going around gathering up the ones who
are out of Elijah Muhammad's temple in that city as well as the
weak members of that temple; | that Malcolm was telling these individdals
lies about various members of Elijah Ruhammad's fanily.
- The March 18, 1964, edition of the “Hew
York Times", a daily newspaper published in
New York, New York, contained an article on
Page 20 which reflected that Maicolm X, the
former head of the HOI Mosque in New York City,
had broken with the NOI and with Elijah Muhammad
on March 8, 1964, and that on March 12, 1964,
Malcolm x had announced he would form his own
mosque in New York City and it would be a meeting
place for his nuslim followers as well as the
base of a politically oriented Black nationalist
novenent,
New York Fe ew York, advised’
that on March 16, 1964, incorporation papers
wore filed for the Muslin Mosque, Inc.; that
Malcolm Little was one of the truatees of this
corporation, and that the principal place of
worship was to be in the Borough of Manhattan,
New York County, New York. .
