The 23 feet of colour film was exposed from a speed- ing train travelling from Mannheim to Frankfurt in West Germany. ufo contact These still photographs are taken from the screen pro- jection of the 8 mm colour film of september 7th 1966. Taken with a REVERE 8 mm cine-camera, automatic 30 mm powerzoom lens, by Fred Steckling of Alexandria, Virginia, U.S.A. This aerial ’’armada” of UFO’s is shown in impress- ive formation in the cloud- less sky. Shown to photographic experts of NASA. Of the film, Pentagon UFO spookesman said: This is the best film I’ve seen yet!” ufo contact 133 "MANY TIMES | HAVE SEEN FLYING DISCS FOLLOWING AND OVERTAKING MISSILES IN FLIGHT AT THE EXPERIMENTAL BASE AT WHITE SANDS, NEW MEXICO, WHERE, AS IS KNOWN, THE FIRST AMERICAN ATOM BOMB WAS TRIED OUT) COLONEL MACLAUGHLIN. Missile expert. (Statement in 1949.) _*- 29 sight UFO‘s over White Sands Range by Dorrance Guy. Alamogordo, N.M. — At least 29 White Sands Missile Range personnel were eyewitnesses to one or more Unidentified Flying Objects between 10.30 and 11 a.m. Thursday. News concerning the UFOs has been cutoff by orders from the Pentagon. All service personnel and civilians working for the services have been forbidden to discuss the sight- ings. An investigation is under way at Holloman Air Force Base, N.M., with Maj. James Stephens, UFO officer, in charge. He, too, is not allowed to discuss the sightings. Terry Clark, president and general manager of radio station KALG, Alamogordo, said the UFOs first were spotted near Ruidoso, N.M., then went near Holloman AFB, then south toward Orogrande, N.M., and then disappeared over the Sacramento Moun- tains. Information officers at Holloman AFB and WSMR were contacted by Clark and he was told the Flight Safety Office at Kirtland AFB at Albuquerque, N.M., would handle the investigation. Kirtland would make no comment exept that all information would have to come from the Pentagon. Clark called the assigned number at the Pentagon and was told that no information was available. Capt. Frank J. Morris, director of information at Holloman AFB, Saturday night said that Maj. Step- hens is handling the investigation. He said the re- sults would be sent to Wright-Patterson AFB, Ohio, and from there would go to the Pentagon. He said no information wculd be released except through the Public Information Office under the Secretary of the Air Force. Neither WSMR nor Holloman AFB personnel has any authority in the case. Clark said eyewitnesses, when they could be ident- ified, would not allow use of their names because of the Air Force regulation. However, these witnesses estimated that the ’’silv- ery discs’’ were flying at an altitude of ''20,000 to 25,000 feet’? and moving at a speed of ’’approximat- ely 2,000 miles per hour.” There were several Air Force planes in the air over WSMR at the time of the sightings. While it took a few minutes to transfer from Army to Air Force communications, the pilots were notified of the UFOs. They circled around, but none of the pilots was able to see anything unusual. Missile firings at WSMR were checked. There were none at this time. There was little cloud cover during the half hour involved and, at this time of day, it would be impossible to see a meteor. The objects were moving much faster than a balloon. One WSMR individual said the UFOs were tracked on radar. There is no accurate estimate of the number of objects spotted. There may have been one — may have been more. There is no indication when the Pentagon will release any information on the sightings — if ever. From: The El Paso Times, El Paso, Texas. Sunday, March 5th, 1967. COMMENT: We understand from our source of in- formation that this news item appeared only in El Paso, Texas. Inquiries showed that the Air Force had stopped the incident being reported in the national newspapers. To quote the above news report: "There is no indication when the Pentagon will release any information on the sightings — if ever.’’ UNQUOTE. And so, life goes on... a Fee UFO‘s over British Columbia On April 14th, 1967, at about 8.05 p.m., lan Squire and Scott McNeill (two boys aged about 14) were on their cycles going along Cedar Hill Crossroads, Virginia, B.C. They crossed over Cadboro Bay Road into Upper Terrace Road (Uplands residential district), and proceeded down into Ripon Road as far as the Circle. From there, they saw a red and a green light hovering over what they thought was probably the area of the Uplands Golf Clubhouse on Cadboro Bay Road. They were on their way down to the Yacht Club, and didn’t stop to investigate, however. The two lights were not blinking, and seemed stationary (but it must be remembered that on their cycles, they were moving, which prevented their being certain about this last point). The sky was dark and starry: there was hardly any wind at all. At 8.10 p.m. the same evening, i.e. five or six min- utes later, lan Squire’s grandmother (name withneld at witness’ request) was driving uphill along Cad- boro Bay Road southwards towards the northern gates into The Uplands district, when suddenly she saw a red and a green light over the roadway, i.e. higher than the height of a very tall tree. The wit- ness, who is personally known to me through her daughter and grandson, unfortunately did not stop to investigate. Instead, she continued on right under- neath the object which, she said, seemed to be spread entirely over the width of the wide roadway. The two colored lights seemed to be shining only forwards, and to be from 4 to 6 feet from the extrem-
