at Tulsa, Occa.oza, After the Fort Scott benk robbery Smith was
found to have turned in tro bonds in the denominetion of $1,000 to -
Fenner and Beane, brokers at Tulsa, Oklehome, end a check of these
bonds by the Acerican Benzers Associetion revealed that they were stolen _.
from the bank at Fort Scott, Kensas. This robbery occurred on June 17, -
1932 (7). Smith, upon being questioned by the authorities, stated that -
he hed received the bonds from #2 man nemed Dunlop, end Dimlop when
questioned cleined that he hed been given the bonds by Fred Barker
end that he, Dunlop, wes residing with Berker'’s 5 nother, known to hin '

Seeting end Thomes Eolden, at denses City on July 7, 1932, disclosed
thet Fred bar«er elias F, G. Ward, Alvin herpis alies George Dunn,
and Kate Berxer, as “rs, Arthur F,. Hunter, occupied an apartment in ~
the Longfellow Apartments, 4804 Jefferson Street, Kansas City,
‘missouri, from say 12, 1932 to July 5, 1932, thereefter.. woving to ore
Test Zoth Terrace, Kansas City, Hissouri end remained two days,
hurriedly deperting from Kansas City on July 7, 1932, the dey Seating
end Folden were apprehended.
In the further seerch for Frenx Nech, it was ascerteined —
by the St. Paul Office, as reflected in the report of Special Agent —
J. D. Glass, dated Wovember 1, 1932, that for ebout three months prior
to April 25, 1932 Alvin Kerpis, Fred Barker end Fred Barker's mother =
and the latter's paremour or husband, Dunlop, who used the alles of -
George Anderson, lived in a house at "1031 f£outh Robert Etreet in Fest |
St. Peul, dinmnesote, and that the owner of this house, who resided -
nearby et 1035 South Robert Etreet, became suspicious and noticed that
Kerpie end Bersxer, upon leaving the house or returning to it, each

with her, of her euspicions and efter closely observing these people
