Dowd interviewed Deputy Sheriff Ben Howle, who is alse Assistant Jailer at the County Jail in Wichita Palle. He stated that CBARLES “PRETTY BOY"; FLOYD is the man to whom he had reference; that Floyd —— Visits Wichita Falls from time to time. In thie connection he stated that he - oiee p received positive informtion to this effect from e confidential informant 1 eS bl Gum who has a room in the home of Don Faichney, son-in-law of PhitTaylor, 1715 Foarl St., Wichite Falle. @iMM informed Howle thet Floyd has been vieiting Wichita Falls; that the last time he was there he stopped at the 014 Mil) Tourist Camp - owned and operated by Phi Taylor, located just beyond the city limits of Wichita Felle on the Port Worth highway. When Floyd is in town he contacts Florence;Lackin -Likens) 46 the 600 block on Brook Street; she is a widow with one child. According to Howle, she algo runs around with Dan Tucker, step-son of H.L. White, Deputy Sheriff at Wichita Felis. After receiving the above information Howle stated that he and Sheriff Perry Browning interviewed Phi Taylor at the O14 Mill Tourist Camp. Taylor admitted that it is true that Floyd stopped at hia place, that the last time Floyd was at Wichite Falls sas just before the Chrietmes holidays, when he Was accompanied by 4 other men; that while at the camp 2 of these men constantly kept guard.
