1933—- She also claimed that she never locked the doors of her
residence and alleged that it would have been possible therefore for
anyone to heve used her phone unbeknowmn to here With this in view —
agente andersen and Marshall conducted investigation at Hot Springs
to disprove or eorrobomte her statements
The golf register at the Hot Springs Golf and Country Club
bears the registration of "Mrae We. E. Wright, Mrae Lou Conner and
Mree O*Brien* all of Hot Springs on June 16, 1933, and reflects that
each paid a green fee of $1.00 on that dates It will be noted that
Mre. Conner made a statement to the effect that she had played golf
with Mra, Wright and Mrae OtBrien on that date and that they resided
at the Park Hotel, Hot Springse Dave ER. Woodden, caddie master, who
haa the records at the Hot Springs Golf and Country Club, adviseé that
there is no way to establish the time of day when these women were at
the clube He had no personal recollection of these women on that day
they were at the clube
The records of the Park Hotel, Hot Springs, reflect that re
and Mra, Thomea T.]0tBrten, 18 Eaat 69th Street, New York City,
registered on June 9, 1933, and were assigned to room 606, departing
therefrom June 17, 1933. Js A+ Cameron, the manager of the Park
Hotel, advised that the O*Briens are unknown to him, Tho recorda of
telephone calla made fram that hotel are destroyed at the end of each
month and therefore the June recorde are not availables This hotel
is considered by the Agents aa a rendezvous of the amart set and it is
alleged by local residente of Hot Springs that Tom;Kearney, well known
book maker from St. Louis, Missouri, has ean interest in samie
Incidentally the agents noted a photograph of Mre Kearney, with whom
they are familiar, hanging in the off ioe of the manager of the Park
Hotel,
The Park Hotel recards also reflect thet Mr. and Mrae Ce Es
ight of Los Angeles, California, checked in to that hotel on
pril 17, 1933, and checked out on June 17, 1935, ‘The 4gents were

Was incidentally learned fram Mr. Cameron that of June 17, 1933,
immediately after news of the masacre reached Hot Springs there were
between one hundred and two hundred parties, believed to be racketeers,
who checked out of Hot Springs rather hurriedly, He expressed the
opinion that peraons of that class anticipated the “turning on of the
heat" at Hot Springse
