Babcock, street addresa unknowm, Detroit, Michi gane Dr. Turk edvised that he would be on the alert for any information concerning the whereabouts of Galatas and if he secures sam he will advise the Kenaas City office through Mrs Siez , mentimed haretofores 4 copy of this letter is being directed to the Detroit office for the purpoas of serving es «a basis for investigation there through the references who highly récomended Galatas as noted heree Contacta were made with Mesare.e Brad Smith, Jim Polus and William Brandenberg in Hot Springs, but no information of value was elicited thereby, except that Brondenberg stated that he had heard that Galatas has stock in the Us. S. Steel Corporations Also Mre Brandenberg expressed the opinion that in view of the influx of confidences men to Hot Springs at present it appears that Galstas is either directing their activities from a nearby point or that they are under the dominion of Informant Ae Mre Brandenberg, as well as the others, will furnieh the Kansas City office, by telephone or wire, any information of value which is received, While in Xensas City, Missouri, prior to making investigation at Hot Springs and vicinity, Agents andereen and Marshell were in conference with Special Agent in Charge R. He Colvin of the Oklahoma City office at which time Mre Colvin advised that the Marahal at Benton, arkansas, desired to make contact with one of the Special Agente assigned specifically to this cases Accordingly, the agents interviewed W. He McKeowmm, Tom Marshal at Benton, Arkanaase He ‘ advised that the Night Marshal, B. Le Lenders, had seen Galatas in a
