Charge at Kansas City to ascertain the present status of Lou Conners* -
bond and after securing this information would get in touch with hin.
He intimated that if anyone of his acquaintance could get in touch
with Gelates it is Lou Conners. He expressed the opinion that Galatas
would be better off if he gave himself up and in connection therewith
eaid thet if lou Conners is released on bail he would heave a friendly
conversation with her regarding Galatas intimating that perhaps she
would be willing to get in touch with Gelatas for the purpose of having
him aurrender, -
The above information was immediately furnished to Special
Agent Conroy at Kaneas City, by telephone, and the advisability of dis-
cussing the matter of bond with Lou Conners was considered. Later,
Special Agent in Charge Conroy in a telephone conversation with the
writer advised that he had talked to Mra. Conners relative to her bond
and had indicated that perhaps Kearney would furnish her bond if it were
reduced from the original figure,
It will be noted that she has been in touch with William
Mormon, who hag previously been rather intimate with her, and that the
latter ia attempting to secure an attorney for her and her release on
bond. It appears that in view of the above Mra. Conners feala that she

Hot Springs, Ark. upon being released from Jail for the purpose of
attempting to aecure information regerding the present whereabouta of
Galatas. It seems she does not feel kindly towerd him because he has
made no effort to come to her aid aince ghe has been in jail. It should
be remembered, however, that she has slways been considered a very close
friend of the Galatas family.
After the above telephone conversation Special Agent Maher
end the writer agein called on Kearney, He was informed that the writer
had contacted the authorities at Kansas City who advised they had no de-
sire to discriminate against Mre. Conners in the matter of bail and wuld
likely relegse her on bond in the seme amount ae that furnished by some
of the other defendants in the esse. At this point Kearney asked the
writer whet the bonds of the other defendants were. He was informed that
the bonds had been as low as $2500.00. He indicated he would be in a
poaition to have bond reised for Mrs. Conners through William J. Flynn,
inaurance broker et St. Louls. He elao indicated that in the event that
