I imedietely proceeded to the corner drug store and reported to

Sherone Apartments at once and instructed me to continue my surveillance,
Upon returning to the apartment, 1 observed a rord voupe, with
New york license plates, parked opposite the Galt street entrance to the
Sherove apartments and the lights on this car were still burning. I
attemoted to copy the license number but just then noted sobby moore
coming out of the tuilding and not wenting to arouse her suspicion, 1
proceeded to walk down the street, around the block and back to the apart-
nent.
I wish to stcte here that IJ more or less kept a mental recor
or 411 the cers perked along the street by the Sherone Apertments and
having looked over the cars on the atreet just prior to the entrance of
this man, I thought perhaps this Ford automobile belonged to him. after
I returned to my room, I continued to listen in on the tep and about
5:15 p.1., Acent Nichols came to the apartment to assist me. at 6:15
P.lie, Special scent E. P. Guinane and Mrs. Doris Rogers, Stenogrepher,
Chicazo Division Office, reported to the apartment and I egain discussed
with Mr. Guinene what I had observed thet afternoon. When arent Keating
made his eppearence at the apartment, I asked him for e photogreph of
Verne tf_iller and after studying it for e few moments, I told both
rent Keeting and Agent Guinane I was positive as to the identification
of this man being VERNON C,. MILLER.
At 7:30 P.M., Vi, who with Verne Miller was apperently in Room
101, Bobby Moore's apertment, called Bobby Moore in Room 211) and said -
"Miss oore, Verne wants you to put the Auburn awey."
Mrs. Rozers received this call over the tep and she immediately
reported the conversetion to me. Agent Nichols, who was 41lso in the roon
at the time, was also notified as to this conversation. Subsequently, :
