Arrangements were made at the same time, in the event that it was
deemed desirable to “crash”. the apartment, to place the men as follows:
Squad 62; stationed on Galt Avenue, comprised of Sergeant Thomas
Curtin, Patrolmen Edward Donovan, John Lynch and Marshall Pidgeon, were to watch
the windows of Apertment 207, whera’we were statiomd, for the signal, which
would be the waving of a coat, to take positions at the end of the area way on
o which a fire escepe led from the second floor, end to also cover the Galt
i. nue entrance.
Squad 60, comprised of Patrolwen Frank Freemuth, James Garvey and
Edward Starr, with agent Newnan, were to cover the alley running between Sheridan
Road and Hazel avenue, into which alley the south end of the area way opened.
Arrengements had been made for this squad to drive their car along side the one
story section of the apertment, so that three men could get on the roof and
commend e view of the two windows opening from apartment 21] on to the reof.
Acting Special agent in Charge D. 0. Smith and Agent Ryan were also stationed
in this sane alley to watch the south fire escape, which led into this alley.
Agents Van flagoner and Nehegan were stationed in a car opposite the
Sheridan Road entrance, with a mechine gun, to watch the Sheridan Road Street
entrence of the Sherqe Apartments.
There were stationed in apartment 207, State Officer Kempster and agents
Wedale, Keating, W. A. Smith, Lockerman and Nichols. arrangements had been rade
in the apartment that when irs. Rogers made a positive identification of the
party coming out of 211 as Miller, the Agent in the kitchenette with her would
*chop™ his right hend and aay, "Hets here", and immediately Agent Madala was to
open the door end the Agents, with Kempster, were to immediately go into the
hallwey, with machine gun, shot gun and revolvers, and take Miller, with instmc-
tions to shoot if he mide any move for a gun.
After the vigil was maintained for some time, Officers Freemuth and
Curtin were brought into apartment 207, in order to assist in taking Miller in
case he came out of Apartment 211. The vigil was meintained all night, during
which time no outgoing or incoming telephone calle were had on the wire to 211,
which had been tapped by agent Nichols, with the exception of calls from Bobbie
Moore's apartment to Vivian's apartment.
Some time after the meeting of Bobbie with “tiller in the hallway, Bobbie
was otserved by the officers and Agents stationed on Galt Aveme approaching 4
Ford Coupe with New York License Plates 811469, and after having some diffi-
culty opening the door, entered same and took therefrom 4 heavy black valise,
which she carried into the Sheromapartments. Agent Medale observed Bobbie bring
